It is known that in any country, its spending will not be equal to its income unless the legislature makes “balancing the budget” a goal. The setting of goals causes one to focus time and energy on desired results. As admirable as this process might be, the setting of goals does not guarantee accomplishment. It only gives a government, business or person a target. Many people, at the beginning of a new year, take time to list their goals and objectives for that year. With a rush of enthusiasm and fresh motivation, they excitedly dream and plan the accomplishments they anticipate in their finances and careers. However, for many people, within weeks, this enthusiasm has diminished or has been lost altogether. This happens because many of the plans, goals and projects become bogged down in the “muddy marsh” of inertia. Others sink altogether in the “quicksand” of discouragement. This result does not need to be your fate. You can greatly boost the probability of carrying out your resolutions by following these simple strategies:

1)BE REALISTIC: Set levels of achievement that is believable and attainable. If you succeed in achieving, or going beyond these levels, that’s great. Then you can set new goals.

2)DON’T SET TOO MANY: If you try to change and/or improve too many things at once, you could easily become discouraged. IT is better to identify one or two deeply seeded desires or needs for change and concentrate on them.

3)SET GOALS IN MULTIPLE AREAS: Don’t get caught in the trap of setting only financial and career goals. Plan for increase in other areas; physical, mental, spiritual etc.

4)DIVIDE INTO SMALLER STRATEGIES: Avoid being overwhelmed by large tasks. Break down your big goals into smaller units.

5)KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED: Do what is necessary to keep the desire for change strong. Display pictures presenting your targets. Think about the benefits of succeeding. Keep positive input strong.

6)AVOID EXCUSES: Don’t let misses become excuses for quitting. If you slip, then begin again.

7)PRAY: Prayer is an empowering force that can help you to break old habits. Keep in mind that even though the creation of goals is important, it is only through sustained action that you can experience change. How can you better sustain action for reaching your goals? —The Answer is, PRESS TOWARDS THE MARK

Zig Ziglar is the world’s best-known sales trainers and motivational speakers. Ziglar teaches that “success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is in the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. It is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.” Here are some of his power points:

•You are what you are and where you are because of what goes on in your mind.

•It is not what you have, but what you use, that makes the difference.

•You are designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with seeds of greatness.

•The greatest enemy of excellence is good.

•For motivation to be permanent, one must have balance in one’s life.

•Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street.

•If you don’t like your output, then change your input. Here’s a question for you. What input could you add to your life that will help you to achieve greater success?

If you are looking at Network Marketing and/or Multi-level Marketing (MLM), there is no shortage of programs to choose from. Some may be better than others, however, they all have one thing in common; they are all based on the duplication model. The key to huge success with any Network Marketing program is the ability to have the people in your downline produce the same results that you did. Hopefully you produced results to get you to the point of coaching new people as they come in.

Where potential millionaires fail, is that they either: 1. Don’t have a system in place to train new people or 2. They fail to communicate the system. I don’t feel that anybody should do the work for the people in their downline. That doesn’t create a powerful organization. It still takes commitment from everyone in the organization to make it work. What I am talking about is knowing what works and having a system in place to communicate that knowledge to new people as they come in to the business. It’s not just about throwing out a bunch of ideas, it’s about having a systematic approach that anyone can follow. Step by step instructions for success. Then, it is the responsibility of the person passing on the information to coach and/or train the person and the responsibility of the person receiving the information to listen, follow instructions and actually do it.

Most people join MLMs or Network Marketing companies without having a clue as to what to do next. Without a plan or system in place, these people will likely get confused, angry, disappointed, lose all interest and throw up their hands in disgust and claim, “What a bunch hype. This stuff doesn’t work!” It’s like putting together a swingset; as long as you have the instructions, all of the parts, a decent customer support line and a desire to swing, just about anyone can do it. As you are swinging on your new swingset you can tell your neighbors about how to get a swingset of their very own and you can be confident that they will know what to do when the box shows up at their door.

So there you have it. Don’t be afraid of Network Marketing and MLM. Before you join anything, do your due diligence and find out what kind of system is in place and what kind of support you can expect, and then have fun!

Here’s to your success!

If you hear someone say, “From here to Timbuktu,” he means a place faraway. Timbuktu is a trading center in the country of Mali in western Africa. It is near the south end of the Sahara desert. Timbuktu is sometimes called the meeting point of the camel and the canoe. Every year in the months of March and June, great camel caravans come to Timbuktu. The people in the caravans come from many places to trade goods with one another. After all has been traded, whatever is left is taken to the banks of the Niger River. The canoes then carry the goods to other parts of Africa. Timbuktu was once the chief trading center in western Africa, but now it is more of a military and medical center and a center for Moslem learning.

The Amazon River is the biggest river in the world. It contains more water than the Nile the Mississippi and the Yangtze rivers put together. And next to the Nile, it is the longest river in the world. The Amazon starts in Peru and slowly flows all the way across Brazil to the Atlantic Ocean. Over most of this great distance, the river flows through jungles where it rains for months at a time. The surface of the Amazon looks as smooth as glass. But under the surface, the water is full of snakes, eels, alligators, and a deadly fish called the Piranha. These tiny fish attack in bunches. They can eat an animal as big as a horse in just a few minutes. There’s a lot of life on the surface of the Amazon River, too. Some of the people living along the river build their houses on wooden rafts that are tied together with ropes. Then, when the river floods during the rainy season, the whole village rises with the water. The Amazon River is so wide; the people living in this village can hardly see the other side. It is said that many smaller rivers join the mighty Amazon as it nears the Atlantic Ocean.

Eating a diet consisting largely of fast food could cause your waistline to bulge more than eating the same amount of fat from healthier sources. Monkeys fed a diet rich in trans-fats – commonly found in fast foods—grew bigger bellies than those fed a diet rich in unsaturated fats, but containing the same overall number of calories. They also develop signs of insulin resistance, which is an early indicator of diabetes. Trans-fats, or partially hydrogenated oils, are found in many fast foods and also in baked goods and processed snacks. They dramatically increase the risk of heart disease – even more than saturated fats found in animal products.

Belts worn by women do not exactly serve any purpose other than being ornamental in most cases. Although leather belts are used often with jeans and casual wear, fancier ones make great accessories with evening wear. Women’s belts are definitely fancier and available in a lot more designs and styles than men’s belts. As with men’s belts, women’s belts are available in leather, plastic loops, plastic strips, and reptile and animal skins. They are available with tie-on or Velcro instead of plain old buckles. Women’s belts are usually studded with rhinestones, turquoise and other semi precious stones and go well with formal apparel. More expensive range includes custom made belts and those studded with diamonds and have gold or silver buckles. Ladies western belts come in a wide range. They are mostly made of reptile skins and are in chain models that are studded with rhinestones or turquoise. Ladies belts designed by well-known designers such as Gucci, and Versace etc., are of high quality and unique stylish designs. They definitely make a lot of difference when worn with casuals or formal clothes. Fancy belt buckles made into attractive designs also lend credit to the belts. Even diamond, gold and silver studded belt buckles can make a lot of difference to a plain leather or cloth belt. Reversible belts are also in vogue since they can be used both ways to go with different outfits.
