Someone once said he who angers you, conquers you. Do you realize that every time you allow your prospects to get you upset or angry in anyway, that prospect has conquered you and it will be difficult for you to present your opportunity to that person or other people effectively.
Here is what I do in situations like that I’ve learnt to laugh at myself and uttered these words “whose the next person that I can present this opportunity to”
A couple of days ago, my colleague and I approached about four young men on the University Campus.
We were about to tell them what we were into, but one of them began to do some funny gestured and the others walked out on us. The next moment I heard my colleague laughing and she goes “those guys are so funny, they probably thought I was coming on to them. Did you see the way that guy was acting?” I was so stunned because on my end I felt bad for her, and really wanted to get back that the gentlemen, but she didn’t even think twice about it, she rather laugh at her self
Here is the valuable lesson I learnt that day, nobody can make you feel bad about yourself if you feel great about you. Nobody can get you upset if you decide you don’t want to be. Usually after I’ve had experiences like that, I’ll shut off for the rest of the day, but my colleague went on prospecting, that day, we made two new friends, and I know that friendship was grounded on the fact that my colleagues just won’t give up, she was looking for the next person who was ready to accept her opportunity. She conquered anger instead.
