A few days ago, I was at a business opportunity meeting that a few of friends and I conducted. It was to share the Tahitian Noni business opportunity with as many people as was possible. I must tell you that I really learnt a lot and although I had been in the business for a little over two months, my perspective to the business changed. I began to take it really serious. My uncle, a barrister and my upline said a lot of things that opened my eyes up to the differences between traditional business and network marketing or should I say, direct selling or access marketing as Tahitian Noni International calls it, the company I work for. He said that we were all put on this earth for purpose ad he went on like this: What were you put on this earth to do? Is it to wake up at 5 am, go to work or whatever it is you do for a living, come back home, eat, have family time and sleep? He said, if you don’t have a purpose, then the first thing to do is to get a purpose. The owner of Walt Disney had a purpose and it was to make people happy, so he built Walt Disney World. Henry Ford had a purpose to let everyone have cars, so he made cars.
Now, this is the part that really got me because I began to understand why we all have to have a purpose. Barrister Goke Oshuniyi said that, the grave is a very sad, yet rich place. I began to wonder what he meant by saying that the grave was a rich place. He went on to explain that the grave is full of many untapped potentials, many dreams that were not achieved, many promises that were not fulfilled, many songs that were not sang, many books that were not written and many words that were not spoken. Have a purpose. Phew! When he was through I began thinking; “My purpose on this earth is to make people around me feel as comfortable as I can by the kind of life that I live.” What is your purpose on earth? Don’t deprive the world of your purpose.
