My name is Olanrewaju Michael Oluseyi. I am a 400 level student of the department of Electrical/Electronics Engineering in the University of Lagos. I was born on the 24th of february. I am an indigene of Oyo state and my hobbies are football and computer games. As for me I am best described by an external person. No man is suitable enough to be my mentor. Jesus is the example that I follow. Some men exhibit some traits which I like and I emulate them, but they are not my mentors, for the Holy Spirit, my help, leads me on. Principles that I stand for are truth, honesty, a life devoted to helping and building others.
In the next 5 years, I hope, if the lord wills, to become a software engineer amongst a few other things. Concerning this country of our’s called Nigeria, it is time that godly men came into power. The fear of God is lacking in most leaders and those who have what it takes are keeping their heads. Pray the father to give us people from his heart.
Unilag is a mini world on its own. You can “become ” and ” unbecome”. It depends on the people you associate with. The system of education may be okay for some fields but certainly not perfect for practical courses like Engineering… A capital intensive restructuring should be made to improve structures on ground. Also the mentality and orientation of students should be re-engineered towards knowwing and not cramming, learning and not just passing. Whatever applies to Unilag, almost certaintly would apply to Nigeria as a whole.
