ET {Entertainment} was with the newly-crowned beauty queen this morning, as she opens up about what happened! “It happened so fast, I don’t remember,” Mendoza revealed. “I was standing there and I felt faint …”
The dark-maned Mendoza, who represented Puerto Rico, said it wasn’t a matter of not eating enough or starving herself for the competition. “There are people who just ate pineapples … but not me! I eat everything!” “She’s okay. She’s fine,” LARK ANTON, a pageant representative, told Reuters following the incident. “She got dizzy. It’s very hot up here. Her dress is tight — as you could see it was beaded and heavy. She passed out.” After taking a few moments to recover, the 18-year-old beauty was back on her feet for the Coronation Ball, where she was greeted by pageant co-owner DONALD TRUMP. Mendoza was the youngest of five finalists. This week, Mendoza will fly to New York and move into a Trump Place apartment in New York — which she will share with Miss USA — and begin her world tour.
