I know this issue has been talked about lots of times by lots of people but I can’t help but chip in my bit. Every time I get to the barricade, I get mad. The other day it was raining when I got to school. As we approached the barricade, we saw them still stopping students and making them walk in the rain. That is wicked, don’t you think? Then I got thinking, what purpose exactly are they achieving by stopping students from bringing their cars to school? They started this barricade thing after the burning of the V.C’s house but what has it helped? If students don’t bring their cars into school, how does it stop them from rioting again if they wish? Are you getting my point? Or maybe I’m missing the essence of the barricades. I was discussing this with a friend and she said maybe they were trying to prevent students from bringing weapons to school. If that indeed is their excuse, what stops a student from putting what they want in their bags. My point really is that those barricades are not necessary. We are students, not prisoners.
