The Department of Political Science of The University of Lagos in conjunction with the Ford foundation is organising a national workshop which will address various sub-themes. Some of which are:
- Theoretical perspectives on the Nigerian state and the political process
- The military and the democratization process since 1999
- Needs, fiscal federalism and the Nigerian economy
- The reform programme and the leadership question
- Corruption, good governance, transparency and accountability
- Federalism and the national question amongst other interesting issues.
All are cordially invited. The event will hold from the 19th of July to the 20th of July 2006 at 9a.m. at the Excellence Hotels,Ogba-Ikeja, Lagos.
