I had a very interesting Shakespeare class today in the morning. What made the class so interesting was the vibrant interaction between the lecturer and the entire class. The discussion was centered on Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, As You Like It. Everyone made contributions. Then the lecturer asked a girl for Shakespeare’s motive behind always having women disguise as men and not vice versa. She replied, “Maybe he also knows that what a man can do, a woman can do better.” Roaring laughter filled the entire lecture theatre. The lecturer promised the class that he’ll begin our next lecture with the girl’s answer. This was an interesting start for my day.
