This week was pretty interesting. It all began on Monday on my way to work. Normally, I would take a bike from my bus-stop to the office. Today after standing at the bus-stop for about 20 minutes no bike-rider agreed to go in my direction. As I was pondering what to do, someone tapped me from behind and as I turned, I saw a man dressed in casual clothes. He didn’t look like an office worker to me. He looked more like a trader and he definitely didn’t look like anyone I knew. “Please can you help me?”, he asked,” I have to get to work and I don’t have enough money.” “How much do you need?”, I asked him. ”50 Naira” he replied. I told him that I didn’t have change and that he should wait and I would get change. I then stopped a bike-rider and, surprisingly, this time he stopped and actually agreed to go in my direction. I told him to help split the money with me. When he had done this, I gave the other guy 50 Naira and shook his hands so that it would look like we’d known our each other before and not like I was giving him money. So off we went, weaving our way through traffic. In about 7 minutes we got to my office. As I reached into my purse to pay the guy he told me not to worry. “Why?”, I asked him. He just zoomed off without saying a word. I’ve wondered, since then, why he would do that. Finally, I just came to a conclusion that it was just God telling me in simple words, just like the Bible, “Give and it will come back to you.”
Next week, I’ll tell you about an argument that my Bosses were having over me. See ya.
