Hello, bloggers! I guess you have been staying blogging to this series of the fired blogger. In the last series I made mention of how I was happy to be unfired, that is, I got a new job. This time  around, I was on my way to Ikeja to get my form signed by my new employer when the rains started. ”Oh my God! what will I do?” I thought. ”will I be beaten by the rains?” Before I concluded my plans on how to evade the rains, here they came pouring down as though they were released from a… I was so mad; but could my anger stop the rain? It couldnt. There was I, unarmed and unequiped, without an umbrella. Standing there was not a good option, so I decided to squat from umbrella to umbrella like a lost little boy. How “umbrellaless” I felt. Well, this is not the end of the saga. I got to the office drenched and shivering from the down pour of rain. In addition, I had to wait for an hour before I could get my form signed because my new employer was busy trying to sort out other things. Trotting down the stairs, I wondered how I would get to school to submit the form. It was 5 pm; the rain was still pouring and didn’t stop until 6:30 pm. After the rains decided to have mercy on me, I ran to the bus-stop to get a bus, but, to my suprise I saw a ‘sea of people’. Yeah! I exclaimed, what will I do? I decided to call the man in school who was in charge of IT postings and relayed the condition to him. He replied that I should still come and that he would be waiting for me. 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, I have been standing at the bus station for one hour; ’No bus’ has the courtesy of coming my way. So, I decided to call my Dad to tell him my situation. He referred me to one of his friends who helped me with a taxi to school. Finally, I got to school to submit the signed form. I thanked the man in-charge for waiting for me. I finally went to satisfy my gastronomical system and set for home with my Dad who graciously came to pick me.
