A new Dean of Student Affairs was recently appointed in the University of Lagos. He is Professor H. O. D. Longe, a Professor of Computer Science. He joined the institution in 1974 and had his Doctoral in 1981. He was Director of the Computer Centre for 4 years and the Head of the Department of Computer Science until January 2006, when he assumed office as Dean of Student Affairs. Professor Longe is a software engineer, and his area of specialization is database systems. He is currently a Fellow, Computer Professionals of Nigeria. He is happily married with 5 kids.
