For the people of a country to love a man so dear, then something must be peculiar about him. If I may ask, what made him so endeared to nigerians as a whole, even people not from the yoruba tribe are talking of this man as their hope before things fell apart. How I wished I had gooten in contact with this said man before his death because he is best fit to answer some questions on my mind. He alone has made history of his life and will be remembered as long as man lives. He is indeed a man of charisma. He would have probably saved us from this mess we are into now. As a man,he died but as a legend, Abiola lives on.

Many things are surrounded with the fame of M.K.O Abiola. Like many Nigerians would say about his acronyms Money Kudi Owo (money in two basic Nigerian Languages). I feel he had a democratic view to politics. Besides, he won the best election ever conducted in the history of Nigeria; he was imprisoned against his will, and many other afflictions he faced just because he upheld the truth. Well the Holy Scriptures says “the truth shall set you free” which I believed it did, set him free from earthly headache and pains. To those that shortened his life are to know that never will there be a man like MKO again. But would June 12 die with M.K.O or those behind the scene?

Except Nigeria sorts out its problem of leadership, it shall continue to wobble and fumble. Everywhere you go in the world you see economic and social progress; and the difference is in the quality of leadership of nations.

Nigeria has some of the most brilliant people on earth today. Nigeria does not need oil or any other resource to move forward. It has enough human resources, and only requires the catalysis of leadership to take it to an enviable level. No doubt Abiola would have made the difference, but there are several thousands in that country who may even do better than he would have done.

The challenge ? How can Nigeria develope a system that could screen through its political structures and come up with the best leader. The present political infrastructure only produces criminals who use money and gangsterism to bulldoze their way into power

I can remember so clearly, Sitting under a tree in school I heard the news, interestingly I never understood what had happened but I saw like hope was taken away from Nigerians, some years after much study I understood what happened. It was quite disheartening, still this is the same problem “POLITICAL ABUSE” that we are still battling. How far can this country grow if we spend most effective time and energy battling politcians. What do we do? How do we move forward? Do we continue blaming the Government or rather let every man survive for himself and family? Nigeria is now “The battle of the fittest and the violent take it by force” Don’t get killed doing this…
