Hello, bloggers who are readers and readers who are not bloggers. I hope you have been staying blogged to this blog site and most especially this series of the “fired blogger”. I guess you remember the contents of the last episode how the arrangement I had with my uncle was sidetracked by some more pressing matters and what I said I found out on the net about the “African iPod”. Well, the story continues of the fired blogger. Today I went to the firm I was fired from to get a “letter of release”. My uncle and I walked into the office and he talked with my former boss in hush tones so I couldn’t hear what they were saying. I then decided to read their lips but I didn’t quite succeed with that because they were conversing in a language I did not understand. So I had no choice but to wait for the outcome of their discussion. While I waited, my thoughts wandered away…until they were interrupted by the words of my uncle who I heard say, “I will draft the letter so that you can sign it.” Mr. Kadiri okayed the idea. “Hurray!!” the fired blogger shouted in his mind. The letter was drafted and typed within minutes and we were out of the office in no time. Interestingly, while we were waiting for the letter, my uncle made a call to his friend whom he found out to be Mr. Kadiri’s boss’ brother. I am happy that I left that job, and nothing will make me go back to that office. Thankfully, I’m on my way to a new IT (Industrial Attachment) job. Really, I do not need the job to survive, but simply because it’s a pre-requisite to obtaining my degree.
