As a freshman going round campus on a tour of the university, I noticed that almost every faculty had a restaurant and a few eateries. “Well, why not try them out”, I thought to myself. So I decided that each day/week I was going to try out a new eatery until I had exhausted the entire list, every single one of them. You can say that again! ‘Every single one of them’. By the second week, I was getting tired. When the third week came around, with all the hustle and bustle of going round classes, meeting up with lectures and submitting assignments, I forgot my obligations to these restaurants.
Of the number I was able to visit, however, a few stood out. These include SUB, QSS, Victuals, DeGrills and Computer. Rating these, Degrills ranks least followed by Computer where, until recently, you could pay very little for so much food. Next is Victuals, known for its unique delicacy of stir-fry indomie and cozy environment followed by QSS with its great suya (kebab) spot and rich variety of snacks. No prizes for guessing my “prize-winning” eatery: the one and only SUB with its cozy environment, high quality of food (quantity, too) and its general setting which makes it look like a mini SS (Sweet Sensation). Do you agree? Or, what do you think?
