It’s not a far-fetched cliche that a good number of Nigerian students are not hardworking. This is no fallacy at all, it is the truth. Most of them don’t focus on their studies but indulge in several social vices that add no value to either their person or the society. Just yesterday, over 600 students of the Lagos State University were asked to withdraw due to their inability to meet the academic requirements of the university. I was not surprised though, but I was concerned because these students are part of the team that make up the future of the nation. Nigerian students should please change their orientation as regards their education and constantly remind themselves of the fact that they are the future leaders of this great country. Greatest Nigerian students, I implore you to take your academic work with gravity and not with levity.
