We constantly project into the future. We can’t help it, that’s part of what makes us human. We frequently think about the future, creating, reviewing, rehearsing and discarding various scenarios of what will happen, and what will not happen. We have a choice to either be optimistic or pessimistic. When you are positive and optimistic you become cheerful, energetic, enthusiastic and above all, effective in the things you do. There are virtually no limitations to what you can accomplish. Optimism is a desirable quality; it is having a ‘positive’ outlook on life, believing that things will work out at the end. The essence of optimism is that, it takes no account of the present, but it is a source of inspiration of vitality and hope that enables a man to hold his head high to claim the future for himself. What we choose to focus on, in this complex world will shape our lives. If we see only the negative, it limits our capabilities; but if we see the positive, it gives us the energy to act and broadens our horizon to see the possibilities that can change our world. We don’t have to wait for some grand future, because that ‘future’ depends on our present actions. Always make a conscious effort to replace your negative thoughts and actions with positive ones. Instead of looking at a task as ‘impossible’, face the challenge with optimism. For in every situation the optimist will see a way through.
