“Desire alone is not enough. But to lack desire means to lack a key ingredient in success. Many a talented individual failed because they lacked desire. Many victories have been snatched by the underdog because they wanted it more. So if you desire — intensely — and you act upon it, then everything stands within your reach.” Author Unknown
To accomplish your dreams and goals, you must have a burning desire, or else, no matter how lofty your goals are, you can not achieve them. The major difference between winners and those who come a close second is not so much in ability or method, but in a stronger desire to win. Take for example the American athelete, Olympic champion Gail Devers, who had such a desire. She, in spite of a severe thyroid dysfunction, nervous breakdown, radiation treatment and its resultant side effects, still achieved her goal of becoming an Olympic gold medalist. Who would have thought that the same legs that doctors had wanted to amputate eighteen months before, would win an Olympic Gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She knew precisely what she wanted and her burning desire to achieve her dream drove her on till she reached her goal.
You may have your goals clearly defined but it’s of little benefit if you lack the drive to actually go for those goals. So what you need is to let that desire excite and inspire you to accomplish your goals. Just as the fuel of a rocket propels it upwards, desire is the fuel that propels us towards achieving our goals. You can stimulate your desire by concentrating your thoughts on the rewards you stand to gain when you attain your goals. When you desire something so intensely that you give your all to have it, you stand a greater chance of succeeding. Such an intense desire makes the difference; it separates winners from losers. It also drives us to create a good and solid plan to achieve our goals. With our desires, we have every reason to forge ahead and make our goals a reality.

I totally agree with you, without desire you cannot achieve your goal. It’s a nice post. Keep it up. Laters.
